The project converted an underutilized office suite into the school's new Innovation & Design Lab. Centrally located within the upper school science and math departments, the lab is a hub for a program of cross-disciplinary creativity, a critical component of the school's curriculum. It is a maker-space that enhances student's technical, design and problem-solving skills, and is available for both course-related and club activities.

The room is fitted with a variety of manual/digital tools, work stations, 3D printers; and provides digital/projection capability to integrate into projects. Sturdy work benches are able to be adjusted and configured to suit individual and team projects. Bright room finishes enliven the space, while providing the durable surfaces needed for lab/shop uses.

The lab's "storefront" is a full-height glass wall that doubles as a writing surface and extends the workspace into the adjacent corridor. The room is open and flexible with exposed structure to support power-drops, material storage and work/display. Storage is varied, including material trays along the rear work counter and cubbies for student project bins near the entrance. Renovated science classroom entries flank the lab and are a model for anticipated corridor improvements.
