The I.D.E.A. Lab at Ursuline Academy converted an underused former cafeteria space into a new technology and innovation hub for students.

• Student lab for Innovation, Design-thinking, Entrepreneurship & Student Activities (I.D.E.A. Lab) with comfortable, flexible furniture and fittings that accommodate both individual and collaborative idea development

• Flexible Teaching Lab used for student-led “teaching”, presentations, public speaking, and persuasive/argumentative discourse and “long distance” collaborations with the school’s global network of Ursuline sister schools

• Prototype Lab with a flexible inventory of equipment for creating three-dimensional models

• Finance Hub providing resources to support budget and proposal development as well as a stock ticker

• Space for a student-managed and operated coffee and smoothie shop

• Robotics Lab with space for innovation and competition.
