History

The parent firm of ABHA Architects was founded in 1949 in Wilmington, Delaware by architects who had formerly worked with the DuPont Company. Our history of low employee turnover has produced a staff with long experience in working together effectively.

Firm Timeline

Erling Dollar and William Bonner were classmates at the University of Pennsylvania and met when they were employed in the Design Division of the Engineering Department of the DuPont Company in the early days of World War II. During most of the war years, Mr. Dollar and Mr. Bonner were members of the armed forces. They were released from active military service in 1946 and returned to the DuPont Company.
